Pub(lishing) Crawl at BEA 2013!
So, somehow, a year has flown by and BEA is now upon us once more! Just like last year, a bunch of us at Pub Crawl are attending BEA—and we couldn’t be more excited!
We know that BEA can be a bit hectic and scheduling stuff in advance is a must, so we thought it’d be helpful to have all of our events listed in one place! If you’re attending any of these events, totally feel free to say hello! We love meeting our amazing readers!
(And can’t make it to BEA? Then check out the bottom of this post for a chance to “see” some PC gals during the conference!)

And just like last year, the awesome Rachel Seigel (who will be at BEA as well!) has some wonderful advice for first-timers:
As for advice—wear comfortable shoes is #1. If you have a smartphone, I highly recommend the BEA mobile app. It allows you to select the autographings and sessions that interest you and adds them to your calendar and shortlist. I've already earmarked a number of things that interest me, so I won't forget them by the time I get there.
Drink lots of fluids—it gets hot and thirsty in the Javits, and don't starve yourself! If you can bring some snacks in your bag and save a few bucks do it, because food is pricy and there are long line ups.
Balance the autographings/sessions with time to walk the floor and take it in. My first year I spent way too much time in line to get books signed, which was awesome, but then there was a lot I didn't see.
Finally, It may be tempting to line up for everything and take everything, but I discovered that I wasn't really interested in a lot of the stuff I picked up my first year, or I never had time to read them. You don't want to be one of those people who just starts grabbing- try to consider whether or not the book is something you truly want before you take it- you'll be thankful for it later.
Hope to see you there! Yay!!!
