Auction to Aid Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief
We interrupt your regularly scheduled blog post for this important announcement.
With our fellow U.S. citizens in Puerto Rico in need in the devastating aftermath of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, and the additional challenges of getting water and supplies to the island from the mainland, a bunch of authors, agents, and editors have banded together to create #PubforPR, an online auction to raise funds to provide aid, through donations to Unidos por Puerto Rico and ConPRmetidos.
Beginning on Monday, Oct. 2 at 9 a.m. Eastern, you can bid in the #PubforPR auction on more than 300 fantastic prizes that should be of interest to our PubCrawl readers, such as novel and query critiques, signed books, Skype visits with authors, original art, Tuckerizations (when someone names a character for you), phone consultations with editors and agents, and a whole lot more. I'm contributing some signed hardcover copies of Fair Coin and Quantum Coin (which are now out of print) and a critique. Check out the website for more information.
People in Puerto Rico are suffering through the unimaginable, and more lives are lost every day, but even the smallest gift can make a big difference for the many families who have been left with nothing.
Please bid and donate, and if you can't give money right now, help spread the word!
Thank you.
